At Scoreline Wagering Enterprises we advocate the importance of closely matching the needs of betting operators and players in every aspect of product design. By ensuring a win-win environment for both parties a climate will be created for sustainable growth. We believe that entertainment should be a key element in product development as the importance of players having fun and enjoyment is completely underestimated in acquisition strategies. Providing value for money entertainment and a more thrilling in-game experience will enable access to a much broader market. As with any business it is essential to continuously grow the customer base and to attract new money to the game, and with wagering very much driven by numbers, a player-centric approach to product design is critical.

KEY PEOPLE

Leon Smuts

Leon started Scoreline Wagering Enterprises in September 2012.

My background is in marketing and the financial industry, more particularly banking, but I have had a keen wagering interest since 1985. I am best described as a really average punter but few things have given me more enjoyment over the years.
This hobby, together with a fascination in the behaviour of people, especially social and wagering behaviour, has  led to the design and development of Scoreline.
After an epic two year journey I was privileged to meet up with Nicholas Plowman, Brad Goldsmith and Mike Hampton of Typhoon Gaming, who turned  an innovative concept into an exciting reality that I am very proud of. I have no doubt that this product is going to drive change and new growth in the market as it introduces some very exciting new angles to traditional wagering.
After suffering a temporary setback with Typhoon Gaming closing their doors and the sale of the Typhoon system, I am pleased that the re-development of Scoreline by Modern Wagering Systems is now complete with the new build better than ever and featuring a number of significant improvements.

Leon has a bachelor degree in Marketing Management from the University of Pretoria.

Dr Bradley Goldsmith

Brad founded Modern Wagering Systems after leaving Typhoon Gaming in 2012.

Brad started out in 1996 designing thermal imaging systems for Circle Technology (formerly a division of Boral) in Australia and then FLS Automation in Denmark. He began private consulting in early 1999 and was involved in numerous projects and startups involving broadcast multimedia systems, mobile devices and satellite telephony.

Being late of both BetOptions and Typhoon Gaming, Brad has been in wagering for a number of years now and considers it his fate.  He has worked with a range of systems and organisations including some of the biggest and most profitable in the Asia-Pacific region.

Brad holds a bachelor degree in computer science from the University of Wollongong as well as master and PhD degrees from the University of Tasmania.
